We did it! More than 2000 students’ belongings, nearly 3000 individual items and heaven knows how many stairs. The Summer collection is finally over. The UK’s boarding schools are attracting an ever increasing amount of foreign students according to figures published by the ISC.
The Independent Schools Council figures, which come from more than 1,200 of the country’s leading private schools, show that 20.9 per cent of all non-British pupils whose parents live overseas now come from China; 17.6 per cent come from Hong Kong; 10.3 per cent from Russia; 7.1 per cent from Germany, 4.7 per cent from Spain and 4.3 per cent from Nigeria.
In total there are more than 27,200 foreign pupils whose parents live overseas at British private schools.
It is not surprising therefore that schools are needing help with holiday storage!
